Pampered Pets

This blog is for my Mom and Dad. They have left Montana for 2 months to take care of my sister in Florida and have left their spoiled puppy with the Barkley family. So........this is how a pampered pooch lives at this house, enjoying the life every dog should!! I am sure I saw her smile as she was getting this way.

And just so they know that we can also spoil dogs as well, see...................

Whew! I think we covered our tracks.

Wind Farm fun

OK, I have not taken any pictures since X-mas, we did take the 4-wheeler to Canyon Ferry for a day of ice fishing but I was not super mom that day, I forgot the camera! I was doing so good. It was a great day, lots of sun, cold, which is good for the Barkley family on the ice, 14 inches in fact to keep us, the 4 wheeler, and other people's trucks on top of the ice! We, including the dogs, all still have trouble on the ice when the sun comes out and you can hear the ice popping from pressure ridges. However, we fished for about an hour and with no bites on the lines we took the boys around the lake in the sled behind the 4-wheeler. It was a great day, Oh, and NO wind which is amazing for Canyon Ferry Lake.

Here are pictures of me at work up in Cutbank/Shelby area at the Wind Farm that was just put into production last month. We need to check for bird mortality at some of the wind turbines, I enjoy the wind up there, at least it is useful. That was our first time up at the wind farm for the study and we did not find any dead birds. We found parts from a horned lark that a roughlegged hawk had killed. We will be doing the study all summer long, so maybe I will get a picture of the turbines in the summer since the picture above was about 20 degrees and of course Windy so the temps were in the teens.
